Is there anywhere in the Tampa bay area to get a free exam and probably a mammogram? I'm job hunting and living in a friend's spare room. I have insurance but can't even afford the co-pay.

Hi, you can call The Georgia Department of Human Resources,
(404) 657-3156 or go to their website, for information on free mammograms in your state. There were no listings for free mammograms in Polk County, Georgia. There were listings for free mammograms in lots of Georgia cities, but we did not have the name of your city, just Polk County.I'm sorry, I am from Texas and do not know what cities are in Polk County, Georgia nor which one you live in. But call or go online for more info.

hi.on internet, type in FloridaBreast that first page you will see list of Broward county resources.are you in Broward County or do you live in Broward? I could only find listings for Broward County. Also read listings, some are for different age groups,I didn't have your age,so be sure to watch & see if some have ages specified. I am getting ready to go to church but will be back about 9pm if you need to ask me anything. Will say a prayer for you.

Hi, you can call the American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345 to get the number of your local ACS office, they can tell you what resources in your area have free mammograms.OR you can call the United States Government's National Cancer Institute, they also can direct you to a local resource for free mammograms,1-800-422-6237. The Susan G. Komen for the cure provides information on low cost or free mammograms, 1-800-462-9273. I was not able to completely check it out for you because the internet information said to "have your zip code ready" when you call these numbers. I guess they look it up by zip code instead of city or county name. I just did not have your zip code. But you should be able to find some. oh and they also will ask your income level to see if you are eligible for the free mammogram. Good luck.
