Hi, you can call the American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345 to get the number of your local ACS office, they can tell you what resources in your area have free mammograms.OR you can call the United States Government's National Cancer Institute, they also can direct you to a local resource for free mammograms,1-800-422-6237. The Susan G. Komen for the cure provides information on low cost or free mammograms, 1-800-462-9273. I was not able to completely check it out for you because the internet information said to "have your zip code ready" when you call these numbers. I guess they look it up by zip code instead of city or county name. I just did not have your zip code. But you should be able to find some. oh and they also will ask your income level to see if you are eligible for the free mammogram. Good luck.

Hi, the list on here from Florida Listing Of Organizations..... is 4 years old. I do not know if it is current. Sometimes people can get help from the Susan Komen Foundation or the Betty Ford Foundation. Its close to the end of the year so hopefully they will not be out of funds, so check them out this week. If you cannot locate phone numbers for them, your local health dept. might be able to locate the numbers for you.

I live in Polk County and I need a free mammogram. I am unemployed with little income so I cannot afford to pay, nor do I have health insurance. I am 61 years old and it has been 5 years since my last mammogram. I have been looking for a clinic that does mammograms...but I don't see anything for Polk County. Can someone help me out? Thanks!
